Modern Jewelry Collection 2011
The velvel ring is being included in the Modern Jewelry Collection.
The Modern Jewelry Collection is the first virtual jewellery collection to exemplify the present day jewellery culture. Fifty works have been added to the collection in 2011. Altogether around 250 works by 75 participants from five countries were nominated.
To be nominated, works must have an authentic artistic signature and a high level of design quality. The nominated works are on display for one year in a virtual showroom at www.artaurea.com.
Once a year a board of trustees, in which renowned gallery owners and proprietors of modern jewellery businesses are represented, assess all the works submitted. In this selection process they evaluate not only the creativity but also the impact of the work as wearable jewellery.

Schmuck Award 2010
The readers of the Schmuck Magazin have selected the velvel ring as a jewellery highlight of the year.
Schmuck Magazin has been granting the Schmuck Award for outstanding pieces of jewellery since the year 2009. The readers are asked to give their votes and select an innovative design from among the submitted works of designers, goldsmiths, jewellers and manufacturers.
This recognition by the readers reflects the approach to design which Bettina Geistlich takes in her work, and positions the formabina jewellery as a part of modern jewellery culture poised between a concrete construction, a playful easiness and an emotional sensuality.
